Roles

Reaction Roles

Auxdibot includes Reaction Roles, a feature allowing members to add/remove roles by interacting with a message on your server!

Creating Reaction Roles

tip

You can create a Stored Embed by running the commands /embeds builder (id), /embeds storage command (id) [...embed parameters], /embeds storage json (id) (json) [webhook_url].

To view more information about Embeds, check out the Embeds section of the documentation.

Auxdibot's reaction roles come in various shapes and sizes. Administrators or members with permission can create a reaction role (with an automatically created embed) by running the command /reaction_roles add (channel) (roles) (id) [type], where the id parameter is the ID of a Stored Embed. (see Tip)

Or additionally, reaction roles can be created using

  • Embed Parameters by running /reaction_roles add_custom (channel) (roles) [...embed parameters] [type]
  • JSON by running /reaction_roles add_json (channel) (roles) (json) [type],
  • Using a premade embed by running /reaction_roles add_premade (channel) (roles) [title] [type]
  • Attaching the reaction role to an existing message by running /reaction_roles add_message (channel) (roles) (message_id) [type].

When creating a reaction role, for the roles parameter, you need to specify an emoji, followed by a space, followed by the role to receive when reacting with that emoji. (ex. 😀 @Role1 🤖 @Role2)

Example: /reaction_roles add channel:#my-channel roles:😀 @Role1 🤖 @Role2 id:stored_embed

You can read more about using Webhook Users here.
